CENTER VALLEY, Pa. –Army West Point senior Kelsey Minato and Bucknell freshman Kate Walker were named the Lids Team Sports Patriot League Women’s Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week following their performances during the 13th week (Feb. 1-7) of the 2015-16 season. Minato earns her fifth weekly honor this season and 15th of her career, while Walker earns her first collegiate weekly honor and tenth for Bucknell this season.
LIDS TEAM SPORTS PATRIOT LEAGUE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
KELSEY MINATO, ARMY WEST POINT Sr., 5-8, G, Huntington Beach, Calif.
Minato recorded a game-high 33 points, shooting 11-of-16 from the field and 6-of-8 from beyond the arc, to lead the Black Knights to an 84-57 victory over Lafayette. The senior netted her six three pointers in the first period alone and added another basket to go a perfect 7-of-7. Against Loyola Maryland, she added 15 points, including seven of Army West Point’s last 10 points to help the team to a 52-44 win. Minato helped the Black Knights stay tied atop of the standings with Bucknell and finished the week averaging 24 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 2.5 apg, 2.0 spg, with a .533 FG%, .636 3P%, and .900 FT%. She also currently leads the nation with 101 straight games scoring in double figures.

KATE WALKER, BUCKNELL Fr., 6-0, G, Red Oak, Iowa
Walker had a standout week, helping the Bison to a pair of wins to stay tied atop of the standings with Army West Point. The freshman reached double digits in scoring for the first time in her collegiate career, netting eight of her 11 points in overtime to help lift Bucknell to a 60-54 win over American on Wednesday. She then posted career-highs in points (15) and rebounds (7) in a 74-64 win over Holy Cross on Saturday. Walker finished the week averaging 13.0 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 1.0 spg, with a .400 FG%, .400 3P%, and .830 FT%.

CLAIRE DEBOER, BUCKNELL Jr., 6-1, F, Grosse Pointe, Mich.
DeBoer collected a total of 42 points across two games last week, helping the Bison to two wins and stay tied atop of the standings with Army West Point. The junior led Bucknell to a 60-54 overtime win against American on Wednesday, scoring a game-high 25 points. She then added 17 points and added six assists in a 74-64 win over Holy Cross on Saturday.
ASHLEY LUTZ, LAFAYETTE Jr., 6-1, F, Sudbury, Mass.
Lutz registered back-to-back double-doubles last week, first collecting 16 points and 13 rebounds against Army West Point and then 23 points and 11 rebounds at Boston University, to bring her total to four this season. The junior set a new career-high with her 23 points in Saturday’s win at Boston University, netting 21 in the second half. Lutz was also a perfect 11-of-11 from the charity stripe and has not missed a free throw since Jan. 16, going 19-of-19 since then. She is 34-of-38 (.895%) from the line this year.
LEXI MARTINS, LEHIGH Jr., 6-0, F, Irvington, N.Y.
Martins tallied her 17th double-double of the season in Wednesday night’s 76-68 win at Loyola Maryland, collecting 20 points and 19 rebounds. The junior helped the Mountain Hawks to a second win on Saturday when she grabbed 13 rebounds and pitched in five points.
SARAH HOPE, BOSTON UNIVERSITY Jr., 5-7, G, Medway, Mass.
Hope recorded back-to-back double-figure scoring games in League play for the first time this season, netting 15 points against Navy and 14 against Lafayette. The junior scored the buzzer-beater game-winner against the Mids on Thursday, which checked in as the No. 1 play on SportsCenter Top 10 Plays that night. She was 6-of-9 from the field and 3-of-5 from beyond the arc. Against the Leopards, Hope was 4-of-8 from the field, all of which came from downtown.
INFINITI THOMAS-WAHEED, HOLY CROSS So., 5-10, G, Newton, Mass.
Thomas-Waheed led the Crusader offense last week, helping the team go 1-1. The sophomore posted team-highs of 18 points and four steals in the 70-61 win over Colgate on Wednesday, then notched her first career double-double with 17 points and a personal-best 11 rebounds, paired with a trio of steals.
CECILY CARL, AMERICAN Fr., 6-3, F, Mechanicsburg, Pa.
Carl posted her first career double-double against Lehigh on Saturday and led the Eagles with 14 points and a career-high 12 rebounds, in addition to adding three blocks. In 16 minutes of action earlier in the week on Wednesday at Bucknell, the freshman chipped in seven points and four rebounds and hit a three-pointer late in the fourth quarter to give American the lead before the Bison came back to send the game into overtime.
